What does the name mean?
OK, we admit the name is a little strange. But, it really does have a purpose.
In our name, 33Church, you can learn the three things that are central to why we exist.
First, in Exodus 33 we read about Moses asking God not to send the Israelites any place His presence wouldn't go.
At 33Church, we are consumed with following God's lead and presence.
Second, historically we believe that Jesus was 33 years old at His death, burial, and resurrection.
We seek to keep His death burial and resurrection central to everything we do as individuals and a church.
Third, as we build 33Homes across the region we will seek also to plant new churches out of those 33Homes.
So, when we build our network of homes to around 33 then we will seek to challenge a cluster of homes to start a new church in their area.
So, to sum it up, 33Church is committed to pursuing the presence of God,
keeping Jesus' death, burial and resurrection central, and starting new churches.

Are you part of a denomination?
33Church is an independent Christian Church.
It has ties to the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ that are a part of the Restoration Movement,
which is dedicated to restoring the church to what it was in the first century.
However, there are no governing bodies that the church pays dues to or that the church is obliged to follow their decisions.
It is a truly independent church.
